Raisch’s works for orchestra aim to be enveloping through the use of beautiful harmonies, warm orchestrations, emotional swells, and astonishing soundscapes. Taking influence from Dvořák, Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, and other Romantic greats, Raisch aims to create something tied to tradition and particularly his own.
A winner of the ‘27 ABLAZE records Hellenic Music Series call for scores, “Orchestral Sketches” is a 3-movement tone poem for orchestra that maps the human experience of longing for community and God, finding suffering in this world, and resting in the peace that comes from truth.
