Matthew Raisch is a composer and musician with the goal of making beautiful music.
He is a graduate of Florida State University, where he received his BA in music and fell in love with the musical tradition of the Church - especially the music of Palestrina and other Renaissance composers. From there, he have begin to branch out, writing orchestral, concert, cinematic, and choral music.
Matthew has worked to develop his own musical voice, drawing from various influences such as renaissance polyphony, jazz, the classical greats, and modern video-game music.
As a Catholic who is in love with the musical tradition of the Church, his Sacred compositions aim to bring authentically beautiful music to parishes so people can participate more fully in the life-giving activity of God brought about through Holy Mass.
His 'secular' compositions vary in mood, from lush, beautiful orchestral scenes to atmospheric choral pieces and driving fight scenes.
Matthew has been privileged to have his pieces sung at Holy Mass, attend the Catholic Sacred Music Project (2024) as a composition auditor, and work on music for an Award-Winning Catholic Indie film.
You can find his music on this site or on his Youtube (below). If you are looking to commission a work or have questions, reach out to him by email (matthew.raisch@gmail.com) or through the form below.
